Dr. Doreen A. Randone

Dr. Doreen A. Randone received her clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Her doctoral research focused on using mental imagery to improve listening comprehension in children with language disorders. She received her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees by completing an accelerated five-year speech-language pathology program at La Salle University. Upon graduating from La Salle, Dr. Randone received an academic award as the outstanding student in her program and was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Alumni Honor Society.

In addition to owning Beyond Words, Dr. Randone is an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor at Monmouth University. She is also an adjunct professor and subject matter expert/course developer at Albizu University. Dr. Randone is an adjunct research fellow in the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology program at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, advising doctoral candidates working towards completion of their dissertations.

Dr. Randone is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Colorado. She holds a Speech-Language Specialist certificate from the New Jersey Department of Education and an Educational Specialist certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Additionally, she holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She also serves as a mentor in ASHA’s Leadership Mentoring Program. Dr. Randone has board certification as a Telepractice Specialist (BCTS) from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). In receiving her BCTS, Dr. Randone completed teletherapy training focused on improving  virtual service delivery outcomes. Dr. Randone has been named a Favorite Kids’ Doc by New Jersey Family Magazine.  

Dr. Randone has worked with clients in numerous settings, including public school districts, outpatient clinics, and rehabilitation hospitals. Her experience includes evaluating and treating children with articulation, phonological, fluency, social communication, and receptive/expressive language disorders. She has worked with children with language/learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorders, auditory processing disorders, intellectual disabilities, and anxiety disorders. She has also evaluated and treated adults with dysarthria, aphasia, voice disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and cognitive/communication disorders.   

Dr. Randone resides in Monmouth County, New Jersey with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and music.
